Visiting Author

Our students were treated to two days of enjoyment, entertainment and inspiration as writers under the tutelage of author Steve Swinburne. We want to thank Steve not only for his work with the students, but also for his presentation at Community Time.

In talking about where his writing ideas come from, Steve gave the parents a clear picture of what his student workshops look like. The responses from the students indicated that they learned and remembered many facts about nature. Every child is a potential author, and Steve may very well have made a life-changing impression on any number of our students.

No Pipeline Next Week

Rumbai teachers join their Duri colleagues next week for two days of professional development. We have included the Week of Feb 3 - 7 in the Up Coming Events in this edition.

Welcome Back

We are delighted to have Zeineb Bourenane, Yara, Sara, and baby bother Adam back with us in Rumbai. Yara and Sara have been missed in Preschool while Zeineb and the kids have been in Houston. The girls were excited to report that on the way back to Sumatra they visited Disney World in Orlando, Florida. From the perpetual smile on Mahdi’s face it is clear how he feels about getting his family back!
