Progress Reports I want to thank the teachers for the extra hours they logged this week to produce the progress reports. These interim reports are very important in ensuring that parents can keep on top of any academic concerns, and support their children in addressing these concerns. Parents who wish to conference with their child’s teacher are encouraged to call Miss Ika or myself to make an appointment. Welcome Jennifer Haas We are delighted to welcome Jennifer Haas as our new substitute teacher. Jennifer joins Joanie Sullivan as our team of relief pitchers that are so critical to delivering quality education to our students. An experienced teacher, Jennifer has been subbing in Duri and we are fortunate to have her with us in Rumbai.New Teachers I am very happy to announce that we have completed the recruiting of next year’s teachers for ISR Rumbai. The candidates were interviewed extensively by myself, Dr. Ambrogi, Duri Principal Alistair Maclean, and incoming ISR Director and Rumbai Principal Gina Engelfried. We are very excited about the teachers that are coming to ISR. This week we are introducing our Preschool teacher for the next school year, Aleeksa Moss. On the following page, Aleksa and her husband Mat Walsh introduce themselves. Mat will be an accompanying spouse, like so many great Rumbai men before him. Our other new teachers will be introduced in up coming editions of the Pipeline. Pinewood Derby Daniel Hunt, Barry Johnson and Ken Davis have done a great job of organizing the Pinewood Derby this year. We are looking forward to tomorrow’s Race Day. See page 12 for details of the event, and the pot luck lunch. We also have great photos of last Saturday’s Pinewood Derby Workshop. |
