Mother/Son Rock ’n’ Bowl and Father/Daughter Valentine Dance

As you will see from the photos in this edition, both Moms and Dads had a rockin’ time last weekend! PTO President Sandy Hunt would like to congratulate Melanie Hill and Anna Tuitjer for a job well done on organising two very successful events. Melanie took the lead with Friday night’s Mother/Son Rock ’n’ Bowl Party, and Anna with Saturday night’s Father/ Daughter Valentine Dance.

Melanie Hill would like to extend a special thank you to Joanie, Suzie, Zulfia, Joumana, and Lynn - our Rock ’n' Bowl committee who helped plan the night's fun and prepare the bowling alley! Emily Morale, Norm Flach and I got to judge the Cake Contest. This was the sixth year in a row for Norm and I (Norm says it’s a dirty job, but somebody has to do it) and Emily as the rookie on the team was an outstanding judge and taster! There were prizes for Best Team Costumes, as well as the Cake prizes for Most Beautiful, Most Original and Most Delicious.

Anna Tuitjer extends her thanks to everyone who pitched in to make the dine and dance a great success. Special recognition to Alisen for her amazing decorating skills; Sandy, Alisen, Tracy, Ailsa and Suzie for their culinary skills in the kitchen; Wendy as a rockin’ DJ; Joanie as a great MC; and Jo for her fabulous photography.

Last Week of Third Quarter After School Activities

As we begin the preparation for the Rumbai Spring Concert, we will suspend all other activities to give Mr. Dragonetti and Mrs. Hill complete control of your child’s waking hours. Well, the play producers and directors will have to share those waking hours with the other teachers who will continue to provide quality learning experiences for the students. The fourth quarter activities will begin after the March 13 Spring Performance.

Next week we will recognise all of the sponsors who provided such a great variety of activities this quarter.

Mardi Gras Parade
On Sunday we will have our annual Mardi Gras Parade! See you there.
