ISR Science Fair 2014 Congratulations to all of the students who participated in the Science Fair. We are so proud of the quality of the scientific methodology, and the skills as expressive communicators that our students demonstrated through their presentations. Congratulations to Mr. Davis for organising the event and to Mr. Clare, Mrs. Johnson and Mrs. Clare for doing great work with their students.Crazy Dress Spirit Friday Thank you Grades 3 / 4 for a great spirit day last week. The 3 / 4 Zone presented the Spirit Award to Grades 5 / 6 for dressing the craziest (see page 1). Students and teachers had a lot of fun putting together some very interesting ensembles. Open Board & PTO Meeting Next Wednesday at 6:30 in the Performing Arts room we will host a joint School Board / PTO meeting to close out the school year. We hope to have representation from every family. The Open Board and PTO meetings are an opportunity for you as parents to have input into the school life of your child. Easter Long Weekend There will be no school next week Thursday and Friday. The weather has been so ideal the past two weeks that perhaps you are not feeling any need to “get away”, but we hope you will have a very relaxing holiday and quality time with your loved ones. MAP Testing The week we return from the Easter holiday, the students will have their year end assessments through the Measure of Academic Progress. This program helps us to chart individual skill development for reading, mathematics and language. These are not tests that student study for. We ask that your children come to school well rested. |
